How to eat CHIA SEED

  • Soak: simply mix CHIA seed in a 1:6 ratio chia to water and let it stand for 2-3 minutes to allow chia to gel up
  • Whole: Simply take CHIA seed straight and then drink plenty of water

Recipe : Chia Gel

  1. Mix 1 part of chia seeds ( 1-2 Tbs) with 6 parts of water
  2. Whisk the mixture until it begins to thicken, let it sit for a few minutes. Store your chia gel in the refrigerator; It will keep for at least a week.
  3. You can mix it up and make flavored gel just by using a liquid other than water. Good liquids to try are fruit or vegetable juice, coconut water, almond milk.

Chia Gel Uses

  • Stir it into yogurt and top with fresh fruit for a breakfast
  • Mix it into a beverage for a boost of energy and hydration. It makes a great pre-workout boost drink.
